REDROW'S - ROWHEDGE  DEVELOPMENT COMPLETED SUMMER  2003

A short walk around  the new development in Rowhedge built by Redrow and recently completed.

.

.

The walk begins at Marsh Crescent, which is the main road into the village.  The  first of the new  development houses are shown on the left from the Rowhedge Royal British Legion and leads into Oxton Close.  The second picture is of Oxton Close from Marsh Crescent..

.

.

The picture above on the left is actually inside Oxton Close.  On returning to Marsh Crescent, the right hand picture,  we stroll up towards the High Street which is just around the corner..

We are now on the other side of the road looking back to Oxton Close and cross back over for the entrance to the Riverside properties, as yet, un-named.

This picture was taken just past the entrance on the previous photo looking east towards the high street.  We again cross the road for the photo on the left.

These pictures were taken from Head Street and on the left is the first building to be completed.  For the next shot, I simply just turned to my right and took the next picture which is of the High Street.

Continuing along the High Street and just before Dark House Lane.  After the last house on the left will be built the Heritage Centre on land donated to the community by the developers Redrow.  The second picture is looking back to Y-junction and Marsh Crescent.

We have now past the Anchor and on the Quay opposite the Albion looking at the eastern  part of the development.  We resume our stroll and the on the right are the very attractive houses that make up this area.

We are still strolling along the High Street and looking into the entrance to the riverside properties, indeed, the second photo, you can clearly see Wivenhoe across the river.

We are now at the end of this short tour. Unfortunately I was not able this time, to take any pictures of the riverfront as it is private property, but,  I have been promised by one the residents that they will permit me to take a couple of shots which I will put up on the site shortly.

It only remains for me to say how delighted I am with the project and welcome all the new houses, flats together with the residents to the village and hope you, the residents get to love the village as I do.

Cheers
