The "White Lion" pub was situated on the corner of Regent Street and the High Street opposite the Crows Nest provision store. In the second picture above you can see that it now converted into a modern dwelling but still very much recognisable from the picture above. The only thing missing is the cheerful chatter and the clinking of glasses. |
