Rowhedge Post Office

This first snap was taken, I believe in the late 40's or early 50.s.  I  judge this  by the soft drink Corona advertised on the left hand wall of the Post Office (it was very popular when I was a youngster)  plus the left hand wing of the car to the right of the elderly gent with his hands in his pockets.   A further clue is the advertising of "Birds Eye" in the 30's???

Sadly, the village Post Office finally closed in 2004 but all was not lost, the Sharp's came to the rescue.  A new Post Office was build in the grounds of Riverside Motors with Simon Sharp becoming the new Post Master.  See new pictures below.
