The Anchor

A fine view of the pub obviously not open but very soon to be judging by
the congregation of the local men folk.

This is a view of the Anchor coming down Church Street - the pub was closed for a considerable time for extensive renovations.  However, it is now open in all its glory.

Barry, the previous mine host, has done the place proud.  He has extended the patio area overlooking the river and is an excellent vantage point.  Indeed the visiting boats can actually moor alongside allowing the thirsty and hungry occupants to pop in..   The food is A1 and service second to none.  .In my considered opinion a valuable asset to the village.  However, all things change and Barry has now left and the new gaffers are Darron & Ed and are continuing  with the tradition of fine food and excellent service.

Here is another two views of the Anchor, taken on separate days obviously

The final picture shows the Anchor's run-a-bout
