Regent Street

Here are two views of Regent Street taken quite a few years apart.  However, the Co-op can clearly seen on both photo's on the left with the canopy.   The Co-op has been trading for years and provides the villagers with an excellent service which includes the National Lottery.  The top photograph was taken circa 1900 and shows the nature of the unmade up state of the roads.  The Lower picture shows the  in front and on the  left hand side of the young lady, Mrs Colyer with push chair, the Methodist Chapel undergoing alterations,  converting the chapel into a private residence.

This is the Methodist Chapel in Regent Street and  built in 1913 , same year the brewery closed down, is this a coincidence?????  It is now, I understand being converted to a private dwelling as the the modern photo of Regent Street clearly  showing  the builders skip outside.
