ROWHEDGE  RECENT REGATTA'S

Saturday 5th June 2004

The regatta this year has been spoilt because of having to change the date because of another event in the village.  Shame really as the fete is not dependent upon the tides as is the regatta.  Never mind, as usual, the weather behaved impeccably and the crowds appeared to be joining in the fun..

Crabbing competition, Dodger, Dave at al, having better things to do

.

Looks quiet, but looks are deceiving

Unfortunately, I was off colour this year and the number and quality of the images are not as good as previous years, blame the Legion (chuckle)

Into really serious crabbing

.

    Do dogs like crabs?

I moved down river to get these pictures, the noise was getting to me.

.

Under sail, she looks grand, must have been something else when these were common place on the river.

I have now rejoined the throng and still they arrived, crowds that is.

.

The regatta is in full swing, better than me.

I managed to take some video of the regatta which I will publish in a village DVD which will start     production this spring.

Albeit this years regatta was marred by local yobs brawling, it was considered a minor blip in a perfect day and we all look forward to the 25th June 2005 for next years Rowhedge Regatta.
