ROWHEDGE  RECENT REGATTA'S
 

The village has a long history of riverside regattas, indeed  there is a photo in this site of a regatta in 1910.  Sadly they went out of fashion and was phased out and replaced with the  village fete which in turn died a death.  Then in 2001 the Albion Pub decided to have a 'Fun Day'.  The event was a great success as the pictures below show:

The photo on the left was taken from the corner of Church Street and shows the humble beginnings - The second photo reveals that many people attended and enjoyed them selves..  .

The line up of the children's fancy dress competition and didn't they do well.  Providing the music was the Hatfield Traditional Brass Band two members, Peter & Gill  which were, with John Smith a force behind this super day
