Chapel Street

Mariner's Chapel

As we leave the High Street and enter onto Head Street, Chapel Street is about 20 metres on the right.  The view above has been taken from the right hand corner of the entrance to the street.

Some 50 metres on the right is found the Mariner's Chapel for which Chapel Street is named.  This chapel is flanked by two dwellings and was reputed to be built in such a way as if it did not catch on as a place of worship it could be easily converted into village homes.  I am delighted to report that the Chapel still thrives.
